"just another lawyer," I mean) - we are so sad your move will take you farther away from us, but happy to have an excuse to return to my home grounds in the DC area. Can't wait for the day we can bring our little ones to enjoy the glorious shrine and have some good DC area eats! :)T.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09208990104460795917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5628616877664827988.post-284998427930207672008-05-27T09:13:00.000-04:002008-05-27T09:13:00.000-04:00Hi T,I loved this post. I especially love the huge mosaic of Jesus at the front over the altar. The determined, almost angry look on his face has always challenged me to listen to Him.

I hope you and your family will come visit us in DC so we can share this space with our kids!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5628616877664827988.post-21333158958422374392008-05-25T18:31:00.000-04:002008-05-25T18:31:00.000-04:00Hi, Katy! (Just kept adding, and adding, and adding...)

I am indeed Filipino, and one of my favorite blow-off-steam activities where I trained was to spik inglis wid a pilipino/Tagalog ahk-sent wid da nurses, Filipino and non-Filipino alike! Too funny...

I can't believe there's someone out there who even REMEMBERS the Epcot millennium parade! Obviously that's the American Pavilion. Thanks so...Well, this just gets better and better. Thanks so much for the shout out!!

I had to comment on a couple of your faves. Here they are, in no real order:

1. Amahl and the Night Visitors was the first show I ever did. I don't remember it at all, as I was maybe 5 years old, but it kicked off a lifetime of musical performances. My mom just sent me my childhood scrapbook and I poured over the program.

2. The Millenium Parade music at EPCOT??? YES!!!! Also the fountain music at the front of EPCOT. And the pipe and drum band in the Americana pavilion. And...I'll stop.

3. I can hear the dictation scene from Amadeus just from reading it on your list. What a phenomenal movie, and an excellent choice for your favorite scene.

4. Are you Filipino? (Phillipino? Which is correct?) When I charged evenings I used to joke that I was the only non-Filipino on the shift. I ate a lot of pancet. And I started speaking English with a Tagalog accent. Those were some of my favorite times in the OR. That's just in the for-what-it's-worth category.

5. I'll be stealing your meme. Hope that's not a problem. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
